Douglas R. Maddox, Jr.
Mr. Maddox currently serves as VP of Operations for Sterling & York, Ltd.
Mr. Maddox has over 25 years of sales, marketing and management experience. He has worked for Fortune 500 companies and many private firms as a senior management executive.
Mr. Maddox has worked in the residential and commercial construction industry for over 15 years. He has served as a construction consultant for builders, developers, architects, designers and sub-contractors in South Florida. He was involved in residential and commercial renovation projects during 2004-2005 as a result of the destruction from Hurricanes Frances, Jeanne and Wilma.
Mr. Maddox has retired from the United States Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel with 28 years of federal service. Lieutenant Colonel Maddox was chosen to serve as a Casualty Assistance Officer in 2006 to 2009. During his assignment he was selected to be interviewed for a documentary on Army Casualty Assistance and Notification Officers called "Notification" which appears on the DVD version of the 2009 Academy Nominated Movie "The Messenger" starring Woody Harrelson and Ben Foster. He has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Services Commendation Medal, Joint Services Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal and Army Achievement Medal.
Mr. Maddox graduated from New Mexico Military Institute and attended University of Florida where he majored in Economics. He is a graduate of Unites States Army Command and General Staff College. He is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration from Palm Beach State College.
